Red Wine Meat Sauce |
INGREDIENTS |
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground sausage
2 - 29 oz. cans tomato sauce
2 - 6 oz. cans tomato paste
1 cup dry red wine
1 tsp. ground oregano leaves
1 tsp. ground basil leaves
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper |
METHOD |
- In a large pan cook both ground beef and sausage. Drain fat when cooked
- Add tomato sauce
- Stir in tomato paste until thoroughly mixed
- Stir in spices and red wine
- Lower heat and simmer (covered) for about 1 hour. Stir occasionally. |
